What if I believe that there has been an error with my card payment?
In the first instance, you should contact us to discuss further here to discuss your concerns.
What happens if gigexchange receives a dispute from a credit card company?
The Gig Exchange will get in touch informally (usually by email) to discuss the disputed payment. It may be that the dispute is the result of a misunderstanding. If that is the case, it is important to contact your card issuer and tell them that you are no longer disputing the transaction.
What if the dispute isn’t the result of a misunderstanding?
The Gig Exchange will follow a dispute resolution process through which they can respond and submit evidence to make the case that the payment was valid. If the dispute is found in their favour, the disputed amount is returned to them. If a dispute is upheld, the card issuer’s decision is final and your payment remains refunded.
How long does the dispute resolution process take?
The Gig Exchange has a limited time period in which to respond to disputes, usually 7–21 days.
After that time has passed, no further responses or evidence can be submitted. Once a response has been submitted, it generally takes the card issuer 60–75 days to reach a final decision.
Is there a charge associated to my dispute
We will endeavour to charge no fee for disputes, but in circumstances that we believe necessary, we may choose to charge a fee. See T&Cs for more info
